Job Summary
Would you like to get work experience in nonprofit administration? Do you enjoy building relationships with community partners? If so, you may be the perfect fit for the Volunteer Engagement Office internship. This position is unpaid and is supervised by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Time Commitment
15-20 hours per week, flexible with school schedule
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend career fairs, post internships, review resumes, conduct phone screens, conduct background and reference checks
• Plan special events such as the intern breakfast, intern social, meet and greet with CEO, and intern training sessions
• Support Done-In-A-Day projects and other projects as assigned
• Work with managers to assess their need for volunteers and create position descriptions
• Act as a peer liaison between our interns and our staff
• Generate creative ideas and solutions for new processes and enhancements to existing ones
Requirements
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be able to handle confidential information
• Must have proven ability to work independently in an organized, time-efficient, results-oriented manner
• Must work effectively and professionally with all levels of paid and unpaid staff as well as with our community partners
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent time constraints
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills required
• Experience with social media preferred
