DescriptionBLACK STREET is a website which focuses on showcasing the greatness with in the Black community. Every individual is given his/her own presence in the website. There is no discrimination of social status, gender, or industry.We focus on giving everyone their "spotlight". Black Street's goal is to encourage the Black community of it's positivity, expertise, & success. We also strive to educate others of our history, present, and future, and provide information of influential and beneficial happenings.
We believe in building a strong community, beneficial relationships, and the empowerment of each other within the Black Community. With such, as a community, we will grow and prosper together. This movement was created in efforts to provide an outlet in which strictly focuses on showcasing the Greatness within the Black community and providing the positive exposure we need, making no discrimination of any industry, nor gender.

BLACK STREET presents: "Black Celebration" in hopes to honor fifty individuals who exemplify the GREATNESS within our community. Two individuals within twenty five chosen industries will be honored for their work, their excellence, their brilliance, their influence. The individuals being honored from each category are veterans who are renowned for their undeniable positive involvement within the Black community and the other are individuals who haven’t received recognition and/or newly involved within their industry and has also completed notable work.
Taking place in New York in June of 2012, with an expectancy of 200 guests, this event will be one of the most recognized Black Tie Affairs of 2012! Guests will witness an esteemed awards ceremony, a three-course dinner by a renowned chef, heart racing and spectacular performances throughout the night, wonderful speakers, and most of all an event highlighting the Black Community’s Greatness!
