Description
The Korea Society, an organization dedicated to the promotion of greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the peoples of the United States and Korea, seeks an intern to assist its media team with content creation.
Applicants should have an interest in Korean or Asian issues and be able to create high-quality work for the Society’s communications with its business, government, and academic constituencies.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:
Review and editing of Web site postings
Writing mini-documentaries on Korean subjects
Increasing Web traffic and program attendance through the creation and management of compelling Web sites, email marketing campaigns, social media (Twitter/Facebook/Linkedin), datafeeds, and online advertising tools?
Tracking, analysis, and reporting for Web analytics, email marketing, display advertising, search, social media (twitter/facebook/linkedin) and other consumer marketing functions
Compile and post write-ups of past programs.
Write and distribute press releases
Monitor popular blogs and websites for possible story leads (via Google Reader)
Requirements
Preferred Skills
Exceptional writing, editing and research skills (must include writing samples)
Ability to teach and work well with others
Attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with Content Management Systems
Korean-language skills a plus
