The internship is unpaid—and is only available to current students who are able receive credit for it—but is an exciting and rare opportunity to closely observe and participate in the editorial operations of magazine—including the opportunity to do original reporting and writing for those who are qualified.
Responsibilities
Research and "legwork" on upcoming stories (a lot of phone work and Internet-based research), original writing, interviewing, and reporting, compiling of data for editorial projects and for databases and lists which support the editorial operations of the magazine. Previous interns have gone on to become paid freelance contributors to the magazine.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will either be a business/economics/finance major with a dual interest in writing/journalism/media/publishing, or the converse.
