Positions: Excellent opportunities have arisen for several entry level interns to work with our rapidly growing firm and support our continued expansion. The consultants will support the team and provide a wide variety of tasks to procure, perform and complete projects. Consultants will possess excellent communication skills and be extremely well organized. Experience in lighting, HVAC, renewable energy or similar energy fields a plus, though able to train for technical knowledge regarding energy savings. Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential challenges and recommend solutions. Ideal candidates will be team player, independent, decisive, determined and success-oriented. Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply as are applicants from across the USA, since remote positions are available.

Firm Description: Geatain has been performing energy conservation services for clients in the New York metropolitan area for the past eight years. We are looking to expand throughout the Mid-Atlantic States, though applicants do not need to be from the Mid-Atlantic States, since remote positions are available. Geatain reduces energy costs for existing buildings. We focus on energy savings through lighting, HVAC, building envelope, renewable energy, cogeneration, day lighting, building controls, motion detectors, renewable energy, lighting, voltage regulators, heating, peak shaving, air conditioning, natural ventilation, energy storage, smart grid and retrocommissioning. Geatain offers an integrated whole building approach to savings where all building components are evaluated.

Duties: Consultants to assist senior members in the completion of lighting, HVAC, renewable energy, energy audits and retrocommissioning projects. Support team members and perform various research, calculations, testing and related duties to complete projects. Help evaluate existing buildings for appropriate energy conservation measures. Research state-of-the-art technologies and determine applicability to project. Research available incentives, rebates and tax deduction programs. Understand financial terms, payback, ROI and related energy saving calculations. Establish relationships with vendors to facilitate project completion. Achieve compliance with project milestones and deadlines.


Qualifications: Degree in Engineering is preferred, though candidates with other science or business degrees will be considered. Experience with energy audits and retrocommissioning a plus. Strong presentation, technical report writing and team relationship skills. Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of personal organization with attention to detail is essential. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and related CRM and sales management systems.
