Clean Water Action is a one million member organization of diverse people and groups joined together to protect our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life.Our goals include clean, safe and affordable water; prevention of health threatening pollution; creation of environmentally safe jobs and businesses; and empowerment of people to make democracy work. Clean Water Action organizes strong grassroots groups and coalitions and campaigns to elect environmental candidates and solve environmental and community problems.

Michigan Clean Water Action is looking for students interested in environmental issues and/or non-profit work. Interns will have the opportunity to plan area events, write blogs and Letters to the editor, and organize volunteers for a wide variety of tasks. As the Summer semester approaches, we are looking for students who are motivated and organized, to help us with all different aspects of environmental protection. We are currently looking for unpaid interns to work in our Lansing, Ann Arbor, or Clinton Township offices.

Interns will work with policy and campaign staff to ensure that Michigan representatives make the environment a priority for 2013. This is a great opportunity to get involved & gain useful campaign and organizing skills.

Requirements

Student must work at least 15 hours a week.
