ResponsibilitiesThe Social Enterprise and Business Operations Internship at Roozt is a crash course in all the aspects of a startup tech company with a social impact twist. As an intern, you'll be an integral member of the Roozt family, interfacing with all of our departments from operations, project management, and product development to customer service, sales and marketing.
EXAMPLE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
-- Deeper understanding of the social enterprise movement
-- Networking pro-tips and elevator/sales pitch practice
-- How to build a great resume & online profile suited for this industry
-- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
-- How to use social media to engage fans and constituents for action
-- CRM (Salesforce.com) functions and basic customizations
-- Entrepreneurial finance and fundraising
-- Data analysis and insights (Google Analytics & Ads, Facebook Ads, RJMetrics)
RequirementsIdeal candidates are energetic problem-solvers with an eye for detail. Those with leadership experience, especially within the social impact or non-profit realms, as well as those with an entrepreneurial track record will excel in this position. Though this internship is listed as unpaid, we are open to providing paid internships to the cream of the crop. We are also keen on offering full-time salaried positions to interns who leave a lasting impact.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
-- Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications or another related field of study
-- Able to work a minimum of 15-20 hours/week in our El Segundo office
-- Strong work ethic with a proven background in project leadership
-- Deep interest in entrepreneurship, social impact and/or fashion
-- Self-starting and able to operate autonomously, but also a flexible and humble team player
-- Hungry for knowledge and experience, teachable and constantly pushing for self growth
