Description

A new college hire joining CGI in an applications development role will quickly become involved in the technical components of a client project. You may also gain considerable exposure to business issues and client challenges of a project in team meetings and project updates. Your first assignments typically leverage your computer knowledge and analytical skills to bolster the project team's valuable technical know-how.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the US for an indefinite period of time.

Technical hires typically have academic backgrounds in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content.

Assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:
* Systems Design - Analysis of a system's requirements to create a general or detailed design, system components, and a working model.

* Systems/Applications Development - Conversion of information from design specifications to programming code. Writing specific programs by analyzing workflow charts and diagrams and applying knowledge of computer capabilities to satisfy system requirements.

* Data Design/Database Administration - Analysis, classification and maintenance of an organization's data and data relationships; providing the overall management of data as an organization resource; developing data models necessary to support a system's functions and operations; defining and maintaining data security and integrity.

Essential Skills Required:
Bachelors Degree in a technical related major including, Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, etc.
Experience with Java and/or C++ development
Possession of excellent analytical skills (including OO analysis and design)
Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in the US for an indefinite period of time

Additional qualifications:
GPA should be on resume to be considered (3.0+ GPA is preferred though not required)
Provide a copy of the Unofficial/Official transcript at the time of interview
Employment at CGI is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
