DescriptionResponsibilities Entry Level Contracting Specialist (Cost Analyst)
NSA is seeking motivated analytical individuals to join our Directorate of Acquisition. We seek government cost analysts in the areas of cost, risk, and economic analysis fields. These individuals will support the organization in its acquisition contracting function. Successful candidates must demonstrate solid analytical qualifications, outstanding organizational and planning capabilities, desire to succeed, and excellent communications skills.
Individual must work effectively with both customer and team members in the myriad of Integrated Product Teams. Show ability to understand and analyze comprehensive cost models and Cost Estimating Relationship in order to generate supportable cost negotiation positions and justifications. Experience in drafting and editing acquisition packages, specifically in areas that address cost information is a plus..Qualifications -Bachelors Degree with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher, and at least 24 semester hours (or equivalent) of study in any of the following disciplines: accounting, business finance, law contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management and 3+ years of relevant experience.
-Advanced degrees, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification, and experience in DoD acquisitions and cost estimating are desirable but not required.
-DAWIA certification is required within 24 months of being hired
-Knowledge of business statistics and parametric analysis
-Significant experience estimating or analyzing costs
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively - orally and in writing
-Ability and willingness to travel approximately 4 times per year, 2-4 days each
-Practical Experience in any/all of the following:
-Life Cycle Cost Estimating
-Cost Benefit Risk Analysis
-H/W and S/W Cost Modeling
-Developing cost estimating relationships (CERs)
-Parametric Estimating Techniques
-Government and Commercial Pricing Requirements
-MS Office.Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
