Our Entry-Level IT Support Specialists typically have a demonstrated interest in information technology and business, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. The role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools.

What you'll need:
* Recent graduates or will graduate from a 4-year institution by August 2014
* Academic background in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems or similar major
* Experience with Java and SQL (preferred)
* Basic knowledge of UNIX (ie: navigation in directories and basic commands)
* Basic knowledge of Autosys
* Basic knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting
* A great attitude and hunger for learning
* Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
* Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
* Ability to work within a team environment
* 3.0 GPA is preferred
* Ability to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time

What you'll do (assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas):
* Receive and handle incidents for support following standard processes and procedures
* Provide information to enable problem resolution and allocate unresolved incidents as appropriate
* Maintain records
* Ensure that Incident Management coordination documentation is available and in an appropriate form
* Ensure that inventory of components to be supported is complete and accurate
* Keep track of changes per standard processes and procedures
* Ensure that changes are rigorously documented in the appropriate ITSM tools
* Collaborate with various groups of change coordinators and support
* Ensure that changes comply with approved procedures and escalate if required
* Actively participate in working sessions on new processes, procedures, and standards
* Investigate and provide recommendations when procedures are inappropriate
* Generate and distribute standard and ad hoc reports
* Follow-up on the closure of completed changes and incidents
