Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market on Nantucket, Massachusetts, seeks an intern to run its SNAP/WIC human services program for low income residents during Market days Saturdays June 9-Oct 12 and Tuesdays throughout July and August, for this full program or part. Sustainable Nantucket is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the community charater of Nantucket while sustaining its economic and environmental vitality.
Responsibilities
Intern is responsible for staffing SNAP/WIC table during Market hours, answering questions, helping with program promotion, tabulating sales and maintaining statistics. $13/hour for 11 hours per week divided between Saturdays, Tuesdays, and one weekday of intern's choosing to work in office on tabulation/stats/etc.
Requirements
Interest in human services and agriculture a plus.
