Fashion Design/Manufacturing Intern

Nkoyo Bridal is a Utah County based bridal gown that specializes in couture bridal and formal gowns that provide the coverage women desire with unique fashionable style without couture prices. Nkoyo Bridal needs a Fashion Design/Fashion Merchandising Intern to help develop artistic couture formal gowns. This internship is for the forward thinking idealist who wants hands-on experience, 25 hours per week, assisting with the management of Nkoyo Bridal couture fashion. This intern will also work with a fashion designer & a clothing manufacturer with over 15 years of experience in creative sewing.

The Nkoyo Bridal Fashion Design & Manufacturing Intern will be proficient in the following Computer programs:
• Any C.A.D. software for fashion design (desired but not required)
• Microsoft Office Word 2007
• Adobe PhotoShop (desired but not required)

The Nkoyo Bridal Fashion Design & Manufacturing Intern will have the following:
• Excellent organizational management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Advertising/Sales & Marketing (PR) skills a plus (desired but not required)
• Any website management skills (blogs, Twitter, Facebook) a plus but not required
. Speak Spanish (desired but not required)

By the end of the internship, the Nkoyo Bridal Fashion Design & Manufacturing Intern will:
• Have the skills and knowledge necessary to run a small business (i.e):
- Human Resources – hiring, managing, & maintaining a small staff of production assistants
- Finance – maintaining company finances
- Advertising, Sales, & Marketing – best practices for maximum visibility
- Customer Service – developing a clientele and creating a professional environment
• Have the necessary tools to work in a diverse professional atmosphere
• Receive college credit towards graduation

Requirements:

* College student studying Fashion Design, Manufacturing, & Merchandising with some knowledge or study in Advertising, Marketing-Sales, and Public relations
* Have an interest in the fashion industry
* Work at least 25 hours per week
* Commit at least three months to Nkoyo Bridal
