Candid Career, LLC is the premier provider of informational video interviews that help young adults with career discovery & exploration. We interview industry professionals to capture the work people do, their reasons for doing it, and the advice they have for the youth of America. The informational video interviews serve as an initial tool to expose students to the careers that might be a good fit for their own personalities, interests, and needs. Interning at Candid Career will give individuals valuable experience in their degree as well as skills of an entrepreneur. CandidCareer.com is a new website in the marketplace of career education. We have a close-knit team of seven (two founders, one director of production, one production assistant, two salespersons, and one web developer). The opportunities to learn from the growth of this start-up company are endless. We are based in Annapolis, MD. We are willing to participate and complete paperwork required for the intern to receive school credits for interning with our company. Intern Duties - Schedule interviews with working professionals - Conduct interviews covering standard set of Candid Career questions as well as additional questions on the fly to better portray the profession - Edit videos to follow standard Candid Career format - Upload videos to CandidCareer.com with associated descriptions and tags - Participate in weekly team status meetings - Participate in the ongoing requirements process and development of the website - Provide feedback on the current website - Conduct user experience testing on new requirements Intern Skills - Filming - Video Editing - Interviewing Skills - Independent Worker - Website Creation (Not Required) - User Interface Testing (Not Required) Preferred Majors: Media Production, Film, Human Communication, Journalism/Public Relations, Media Studies Compensation: Unpaid (Attainable $500 stipend for high performing interns).
