The Imaging Solutions department is looking for a Computer Science / Computer Engineering student. This R&D area has a broad range of responsibilities including the design, development and support of software that affect numerous aspects of Lexmark printers, scanners, and product solutions including speed, usability, image quality, energy consumption, network capabilities, and security. The opportunity can result in exposure to multiple programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Objective C), and operating systems (Linux, Android, iOS), embedded system architecture, multi-threaded and/or multi-process software, revision control systems, image processing, imaging system design, electrophotography, ASIC design, page description languages (e.g., PDF, Postscript, PCL, XPS, etc.), and general software engineering practices (requirements engineering, peer code review, unit testing, functional integration testing, etc.). Specific responsibilities of the position and the resulting experiences vary depending upon the position as well as the interests and educational background of the student.
To be considered, students must be actively pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
