Description

Computer Science / Computer Engineering student (Intern/CO-OP) opportunity in Lexmark Controller Research and Development. This R&D area has a broad range of responsibilities including code design, development and support that affect numerous aspects of Lexmark printer and scanner products including speed, usability, image quality, energy consumption, network capabilities, and security. The opportunity can result in exposure to multiple programming languages (e.g., assembly, C, C++, Java), Adobe Flash/Flash Lite, Unix, embedded system architecture, multi-threaded and/or multi-process software, kernel development, revision control systems, image processing, imaging system design, electrophotography, inkjet physics, ASIC design, page description languages (e.g., PDF, Postscript, PCL, XPS, etc.), and general software engineering practices (requirements engineering, peer code review, unit testing, functional integration testing, etc.). Specific responsibilities and the resulting experiences vary depending upon the position as well as the interests and educational background of the student.


To be considered, students must be actively pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
