Funfest Productions, Inc. has internships in each of these departments! *When applying, please state which department(s) you would be interested interning with* ABOUT THE COMPANY: Funfest Productions, Inc. produces events that include carnival rides, specialty attractions, live music, food vendors, art vendors, and more. The Stars and Stripes Festival, created by Funfest, is a celebration of our country’s birth and highlights everything that makes summertime in America great. Stars and Stripes takes place at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre and County Park in Sterling Heights, MI. Rock stars, eclectic food, and carnival rides highlight the Stars & Stripes Festival. The weekend attendance on average reaches over 500,000 people. It marks the total celebration of America’s freedom and showcases the essence of Fourth of July, the pinnacle of summer in America. Along with the Stars and Stripes Festival, Funfest produces the St. Clair Riverfest and the Uncle Sam Jam. The St. Clair Riverfest brings all the summer fun of great weather and fun on the water together in one massive weekend festival with free admission. It features live music from national acts along with the famous Off Shore Boat Racing on the St. Clair River on Sunday. This three-day weekend festival is held on the banks of the St. Clair River in beautiful downtown St. Clair, Michigan. The Uncle Sam Jam takes place in the city of Woodhaven, MI and features a weekend of fireworks, national musical performances and more!

Responsibilities

-Assist event coordinators in planning and execution of multiple festivals -Coordinate online marketing and advertising campaigns and update company web sites -Assist in managing various social media websites -Distribute credentials on event-day -Coordinate event-day logistics, such as signing in vendors, directing set-up, etc. -Assist with national band meet-n-greets -Perform office-related duties on a daily basis

Requirements

-Strong written and verbal communication skills -Attention to detail -Extremely organized -Ambitious -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment -Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to interact with the community -Preferred: Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
