Crossing Art is seeking Winter/ Spring Interns for February and/or beyond (for-hire is a possibility).
Crossing Art Interns have the unique opportunity to learn about starting up a small business and running an art space from the very beginning. This is a hands-on internship, with interns becoming an essential part of our team. We are looking for proactive, hard working candidates with a desire to take initiative on assignments and special projects.
Compensation:
- Compensation for this position is a daily stipend and based on commission. Interns receive 5% of the pre-tax price of any artwork sold.
- School credit is available.

Responsibilities
General Administrative:
- Gallery sitting and staffing the store register.
- Researching special projects for the Director.
Public Relations / Marketing:
- Maintaining a file of clippings about Crossing Art after each event.
- Keeping the website up to date.
- Regularly updating the Crossing Art Facebook page and Twitter feed.
- Assisting Curator with artwork installation.
- Keeping track of store inventory.
Requirements
Requirements:
-Fluent (spoken and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Applicants should expect to commit 2-3 days (11-6pm) per week to the position.
- Education or experience in Arts Administration, Curatorial Studies, Graphic Design, Art History, and/ or Fine Art is preferred.
-Graphic design skills (adobe photoshop).
-Social Media skills, experience in simple posting on Twitter and Facebook.
