DescriptionIf you have seen Domino’s “Build a Pizza” campaign, played Farmville or numerous other website directed games, you understand gaming within a business or social paradigm.
Lifebushido is seeking the top global undergraduate students who are interested in developing gamification programs and stragegies. They will investigate the use of game design techniques and mechanics to solve problems and engage audiences. Gaming works by making technology more engaging , by encouraging users to engage in desired behaviors , by showing a path to mastery and autonomy, and by taking advantage of humans' psychological predisposition to engage in gaming The technique can encourage people to perform chores that they ordinarily consider boring, such as completing surveys, shopping, filling out tax forms, or reading web sites.
ResponsibilitiesThe Lifebushido Virtual Entrepreneur Internship is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students who have a passion for entrepreneurship and like to move fast. Interns will:
¦Build their resume with a dynamic business project which will see immediate success or failure in ten weeks.
¦Have the opportunity to work on an existing Lifebushido Gaming microventure or propose one of your own.
¦Be given microbudgets, to be used over the ten week period, to invest in development, sales, and marketing of your microventure project.
¦Complete all work virtually/remotely. Interns can work with Lifebushido from anywhere in the world with flexible hours.
¦Work on real projects involving real start-up business ventures.
¦Interact with Lifebushido staff in the United States and around the world.
RequirementsTechnical background is NOT a requirement to apply to this program. Interns with skills in strategy, writing, graphic arts, market research and many others will be needed. We intend to form Gaming Teams to move from creation to implementation in an entrepreneurial-like mini-business or microventure within 10 weeks with less than 100 hours of effort.
Our Gaming Internship is part of Lifebushido's Virtual Entrepreneur Internship Program and is a non-paid, part-time, virtual internship that can be completed from any location on a year-round basis. The Lifebushido Virtual Entrepreneur Internship combines a highly structured microventure system with the creative entrepreneurial freedom to take charge and grow your microventure quickly.
