2013 Internship Opportunities
The First Tee of San Francisco (TFTSF) is a 501(c )(3) non-profit organization with the mission to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. TFTSF is a local chapter of a national organization currently located at TPC Harding Park- 99 Harding Road, San Francisco, CA 94132
TFTSF is a year-round life skill, golf instruction and mentoring program that uses the principles of golf—discipline, hard work and integrity—to enhance the academic achievement and leadership skills of youth from all backgrounds. We provide character education to young people ages 6-17, through after-school programs, summer camps and an on-campus school program taught through the physical education classes called The First Tee’s National School Program.
During the 2013 school year, TFTSF will serve almost 8,000 youth.
In addition to the programs listed above, TFTSF also operates a practice facility at Visitacion Valley Middle School complete with a driving range, putting green, and chipping area atop the schools playground.

Responsibilities
Spring & Summer 2013 Internship Opportunities:
• Marketing: assists with the marketing for TFTSF various programs; volunteer recruitment, youth programming and events. Assist with creation of marketing tools, website updates, and social media updates.
• Programming: assist with equipment inventory, maintenance of all practice areas, maintains classroom.
• Coaching: interns serve as golf coaches and mentors to various age groups and golf levels
• Others: If you have a particular project that you need to do to complete a class or graduation requirement, please contact TFTSF directly.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• All staff and volunteers must have a background check
• Golf skill and/or golf knowledge is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus as well as computer literacy
