"A Virtual Organization is an organization which strictly uses all of the following: a virtual workspace, a virtual workforce, and virtual organization management best practices, policies and procedures for operating in a 100% virtual environment." by Prof. Pierre Coupet of Virtual Organization Management Institute Overview Seeking dynamic, hard-working, and global-oriented government relations students with a passion for becoming a powerful force for change in the world and Social Media; who can bring creative ideas to the government relations team and help implement them. The Government Relations team acts as liaison between VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board and all branches of the US Government - as well as all other foreign governments and international bodies (e.g., United Nations, G-8, G-20, etc.); and is responsible for handling external relations in the pursuit and realization of the board's policy priorities and ojectives. Will support the Public Policy Committee and Global Ambassadors Committee of VOMI Global Think Tank & Advisory Board. Will be involved, under strict supervision, in 1) Call-to-Action campaigns; 2) providing support for various policy research and writings regarding policy updates, briefs, white papers, and various other publications; 3) planning events and attending Board meetings; 4) learning and using parliamentary procedures based on Robert's Rules of Order; 5) recording and transcribing minutes of board meetings; and 6) drafting board resolutions.

Responsibilities

This is a 12-month UNPAID Global-Virtual Fellowship. Our fellowship program is Year-Round and is open to all applicants worldwide who meet our strict requirements. All selected students who have successfully completed the entire length of the fellowship will receive a $10,000 stipend for tuition and education expenses subject to meeting all other stipend award requirements. Requirements

Qualification Requirements: You must be an undergraduate in your final year, or an MBA and Ph.D. student, majoring in Government Relations or a related discipline. Must have a min 3.00 GPA in your major or equivalent; a 3.75+ GPA is preferred. A Social Media Native with a strong interest in international relations, you live and breathe all things social media and enjoy rubbing elbows with policy makers worldwide. Admission is limited only to students who will receive course credit for the fellowship, however, a waiver of this requirement due to extenuating circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis. As well, we require the following: • Above all else, an Oustanding WORK ETHIC! • A good understanding of the US (or your country's) legislative process. • Willingness and ability to operate and manage, under strict supervision, in a 100% virtual organization environment. • Excellent written and oral communication, research, and writing skills. • Highly disciplined, focused, and extraordinary ability to adapt and thrive in a virtual organization. • Must be totally self-sufficient in a 100% virtual environment. • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications. • Fluency in English required, additional language proficiencies (French, Chinese, etc.) are a plus.
