During the 10 week engagement interns will be in a supportive learning environment contributing both independently and on a team against key department initiatives. This opportunity is on the PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Management) side of CVS/Caremark. The RxClaim development group delivers projects of all sizes through major (once a month) and minor (weekly) releases. The three important roles in development are developer, tech lead and project owner. The individual will experience each of these roles throughout the entire life cycle of a project. The candidate will interact with individuals from the business side, BA, QA, etc as the BSRs and projects move through the SDLC. While shadowing 3 experienced employees as well as working closely with a mentor, this individual will experience what it takes to be successful in these positions. Required Qualifications:
*Availability to work full time for duration of the 10 week program. *Professional work experience in development. *Experience with the SDLC and managing projects. *Strong desire to work in IT dev environment once program is completed. *Comfortable drawing conclusions, relationships and risks based on various factors. *Experience working with clients and helping them articulate what their need is. *Excellent oral and written communication skills, fast learner and has strong initiative. Preferred Qualifications:
*Professional work experience in development using RPG/CL (Control Language)/iSeries/SYNON. *Professional work experience as a technical lead. Education:
