As a software development intern within Intel's Virtual Prototype Center of Expertise group, you will be involved in creating solutions for Hybrid Virtual Platforms. This will include researching problems, improving existing infrastructure, and delivering production worthy tools and flows. Hybrid Virtual Platforms combine SW simulation models, a SW/HW transactor and various innovative HW acceleration technologies (like Virtualization, Emulation, FPGA, test chips etc.) to provide a fast platform level model. The Virtual Platforms enable a variety of use cases including pre-silicon software development, system level power performance exploration, architecture exploration, verification and validation. This internship position will involve you understanding SW/HW modeling techniques and developing automation tools to speed up the development of Hybrid infrastructure solutions.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through your educational level research and/or relevant job/internship experiences.
Candidate should be pursuing a MS or PHD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. Additional qualifications include the following.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and object oriented design methodologies
- Proficiency in a scripting language - Perl, Python, Shell scripting
- Knowledge of S/W development practices and quality standards
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows based S/W development environments tools
- Knowledge of HDL (Verilog, System Verilog) based simulation and RTL validation environments
- Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and CPU behavior
