This position is located in the Privacy and Intelligence Lab (PIL) team, which is part of Security Privacy Research (SPR) at Intel Labs. The mission of SPR is to drive industry-leading research on Trustworthy Execution, Anti-Malware, Identity Authentication, Cryptography, and Privacy to deliver higher robustness and assurance on Intel platforms.
The work includes performing research on the secure processing of sensitive data on client devices and/or in datacenters. The successful candidate will design and develop communication protocols and/or software at one or more of the application, OS, and hypervisor layers. They will showcase their work through demos, whitepapers and presentations at internal and external forums such as the Intel Country Fair, the Intel Developer Forum, Research at Intel, and others. The candidate's work may lay the foundation for future Intel products.
The candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills. In particular they should be self-motivated, show initiative, and drive closure of technical issues. They should be able to present complex issues with clarity to drive decisions.
Minimum skills and experience:
-You must be a student enrolled in a Master of Science or a Ph.D. degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with focus on software and platform security.
-Security research experience demonstrated by at least one security-related publication in a peer-reviewed conference proceedings or journal.
-Candidate must have 1+ years of work or educational experience developing software with C++, C, and Java.
