DescriptionJob Description: Responsibilities may be quite diverse of an exempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
In this position, the candidate will have opportunity to work with Circuits Pathfinding team to learn and develop advanced design techniques and methodologies to be deployed for future Intel products. The job involves working with state of the art technology helping development team to simulate and analyze low power microarchitecture and circuit techniques. Responsibilities include understanding the specifications and learning Intel design flows. Building custom circuit simulations, running synthesis and doing performance verification to analyze and compare results with standard topologies. The candidate needs to be familiar with VLSI design process and must have knowledge of CMOS VLSI design principles and good working knowledge on CAD tool flows and layout methodologies.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Must be pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering with background in the VLSI design areas.
Good programming skills in UNIX, PERL, TCL and C/C++ are also a desirable asset.
Experience/Skills: Should have gone thru VLSI courses during school course work.
