DescriptionGODNET.TV, a growing internet media firm, seeks design savvy interns to join our design media team. Ideal candidates will be creative individuals with ability to create compelling graphic design elements, have web design experience and assist with development of our company's multiple websites and print layout designs. Interns must exhibit a mastery or strong working knowledge of Photoshop, and Illustrator. An understanding of Acrobat and InDesign, would be a plus.
We offer our interns the opportunity to work on the "big" projects! Assignments include logo design, brochures, book covers, banner creation, web design and more. While building your portfolio, you will learn all aspects of graphic design including production, prepress, etc. The position is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in communications graphics production, artistic design production and online media. Related experience from jobs, involvement in on-campus organizations, or other internships is helpful.
Intern would be re-vamping the designs for websites, web pages and social media campaigns for our subsidiary companies. Intern will be given suggestions and themes, but other than that will have the ability to bring his/her own design ideas to the table. This is an excellent opportunity for those who desire to get into the advertising/production industry and develop a first class professional portfolio.
Intern will be responsible for creating compelling graphic design elements for our corporate website as well as designs for our network of websites. Duties included but not limited to:
• Extensive banner design/creation
• Brochure creation
• Newsletter design
• Design elements of landing pages for social media outlets such as facebook and twitter
• Creation of webpage designs for various media clientele
• Logo design/creation
• Photo Retouching
Intern will help to maintain and grow the GODNET.TV and subsidiary presence online by creating designs that induce viewer interaction and create greater brand recognition. Work one on one with marketing department on how to improve websites, social media presence, and ensure better navigation between pages.
Build relationships with the online communications staff at other organizations, and gather information for banner and site creation. Work with the marketing team to provide designs and graphics for GODNET.TV websites, newsletters and print media as appropriate, and to place content in our e-newsletter.
This is an unpaid position but will provide an opportunity to donate expertise and grow this position within our organization. This position also offers interns significant training in media design, advertising development and public relations. In time, this position may grow into a paid career opportunity. We are able to work with students to obtain school credit, if available.
An experienced volunteer must commit to working a minimum of 20-30 hours per week and may enjoy a flexible schedule, working remotely. A minimum of 3-6 months is required with the possibility of extension; applicants that are willing to commit to 4+ months are strongly preferred.
Candidates should understand the advertising opportunities presented by graphic design media. While you should have deep familiarity with web technologies, developer skills are not required. Experience using social networks in an editorial context or related work in a newsroom is required. Ideal candidate should be creative and also have an excellent eye for detail.

• Must be web savvy and enjoy keeping up with new design technologies.
• Experience on previous online outreach desirable.
• Extensive experience using graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. InDesign and Fireworks knowledge desirable.
