Description
The Patchwork Group, a nonprofit organization that provides health education and services to at-risk populations, is looking for interns to join our team. At the completion of the internship, the intern will have concrete experience researching and applying for grant opportunities to fund our organization’s activities.
Responsibilities
Virtually research grant opportunities. Locate applicable grants and identify the application process. Write proposals. Write grant letters. Meet weekly/bi-weekly to discuss upcoming events.
Requirements
Current baccalaureate degree or higher. Knowledge of persuasive writing. Knowledge of the components of a grant. Ability to follow instructions. Great attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Word. Proficiency researching information on-line. English, Communication, and Journalism majors are preferred. Other majors will be considered.
