Description

The San Francisco Conservation Corps (SFCC) is a non-profit job readiness and education program serving young adults between the approximate ages of 18 and 26 who work in crews to address community needs through service and conservation-related work. SFCC work readiness opportunities for young adults include, but are not limited to, landscaping, restoration, installing play structures at public schools and community centers, recycling, and internships. Concurrently and in partnership with the John Muir Charter School, the young adults focus on attaining their High School Diploma or participate in the Corps-to-Career higher education program.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Grants and Research Intern will be assisting in the research of prospective funders, the grant writing and submittal process, and some strategic planning. Other duties may be assigned by internship supervisor.

Requirements

Internship Summary •The Grants and Research Intern works closely with SFCC’s Development Manager and the rest of the Development team. This internship provides a focus on grant writing and funder prospecting for non-profit social services. •Responsibilities include: • Assisting the Development team with the planning and implementation of development strategies • Helping to identify and research new potential funding opportunities for our organization. • Work closely with the Development team to ensure we're fully exploring funding prospects.
