Description
The internship is an unpaid opportunity and October to December 2011. Flexible schedule. The intern will have to work in the design of health related educational materials. Brainstorming and mocking up design ideas and present them to project coordinator and senior advisor. Must have access to computer software to execute his/her designs. PAHO will keep the copyrights of the materials developed under this internship; however the intern will be able to use them ONLY for academic purposes.
Responsibilities
Specific Deliverables
* Graphic design of the TTT materials including: schedules, training manuals, PowerPoint slides, quizzes, surveys, and lectures notes
* Develop a concept for the oral health module targeting school teachers and lay health workers
* Design dissemination materials such as flyers, pamphlets about oral health promotion and oral disease prevention
Requirements
Current undergraduate or graduate student in graphic design with well developed skills in graphic design and layout. Experience working with graphic design software programs such as Photoshop or Quark Xpress. Must be creative and flexible. Attention to details and deadline oriented.
