The Interface Designer will be responsible for designing customer interfaces for printer and multifunction devices. The designer will work with work closely with Graphic designers and peer Interaction designers to define user interfaces for software, printer multifunction color displays, web applications and widgets.
They will work with a wide variety of disciplines within the company to define design guidelines based on user research, business goals and technical requirements. They will create design concepts, develop appropriate prototypes for reviews and create technical specifications to guide developers.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash are basic requirements of this job position. This person must be highly organized and able to support multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and working within design guidelines and production requirements. They must to be able to work effectively with other disciplines within the company to understand their requirements and factor this information into the design development process. They must utilize the latest creative tools to create concepts, produce prototypes for reviews to gain approvals and communicate their design to management for approval. They must be able to organize large amounts of visual information to create a simple and elegant user interface. A high level of communication skills are required to collaborate with peer designers worldwide.
Education and experience:
Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Graphic Design, Web Design or Interface Design. Mac proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash skills required. Communication skills and ability to work with varied disciplines world wide. High creativity and technical skills
