A Greenpeace Internship is a great way to learn first-hand how an international environmental campaigning organization works, build valuable career skills and make connections. In addition to job training, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in trainings such as corporate campaigning, non-violent direct action, media relations, materials production and grassroots outreach.
Greenpeace is looking for interns for the following teams: Grassroots Organizing, Student Organizing, Web Team, Activist Network, Recruitment, Forests Campaign.
Responsibilities
Vary according to internship, but may include:* Online research / managing research projects
* Logistics coordination
* Administrative support
* Materials production (trainings, kits, etc)
* Data entry
* Quickly develop knowledge of global warming and other campaign issues
* Web design
* Online organizing
* Activist recruitment
Requirements
* Online research skills* Able to inspire, recruit and train campaign volunteers over the phone
* Strong communication skills including public speaking, written and oral
* Critical thinking and time-management skills
* Able to keep a level head in a fast-paced campaign environment
* Commitment to grassroots organizing and non-violent direct action as means of affecting change
* Reliable and responsible
