This internship will start in March of 2013 and is a seasonal position that will be scheduled 15-40 hours per week depending upon the month. Hours will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position plays a vital role in helping Elitch Gardens achieve our mission, which is to “Create Memories Worth Repeating.” On a day-to-day basis, the Group Sales & Events Intern is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: •Taking group orders •Assisting with special event planning and execution •Making sales calls to previous and potential clients •Assisting the sales and catering departments with coordinating corporate events and outings •Communicating event details to the appropriate departments by creating and distributing event memo packets •Occasionally assisting other departments (such as Public Relations, Promotions, Catering, Front Gate, etc.) with various in-park tasks •Assist with season pass processing, and guest admission •Offer direct assistance to Guests who have a comment, question, or concern. •Responsible for providing our Guests with a safe, clean, and entertaining atmosphere when they visit the park. •A positive attitude is required due to the high volume of Guest contact.
