Description

A seasonal position to assist in all operations of the Human Resources Office at Elitch Gardens.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screening applicants, set up interviews and prepare hiring paperwork. • Present new employee orientation. • Counsel employees from other departments on grooming standards and policy violations. • Maintain filing, answering phones, copying, faxing, data entry and other clerical duties. • Make badges, issue uniforms and maintain uniform inventory. • Assure that all forms have been properly completed. • Plan and assist at employee events. • Perform spot checks within the park to recognize exemplary employee performance. • Keep office and lobby area clean and tidy. • Perform other duties as required by management.

Requirements

• Must possess good oral and written English language and grammar skills. Bilingual a plus. • Must have exceptional customer service skill and the ability to maintain calm under pressure. • Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple employee issues in a stressful and fast paced environment. • Must be able to speak comfortably in front of large groups if needed or required to conduct orientation and training. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous front office experience is helpful. • Theme park industry experience or hospitality experience is a definite plus! • Must be able to work holidays and weekends. • Available to work evenings during employee parties and events. • Attention to detail. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must be able to work alone and unsupervised at times. • May be required to work in various weather conditions • All job offers contingent on passing a criminal, drug, alcohol and social security background check.
