As an HRIS intern you will be assisting with the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources Information System, performing functions that ensure data integrity and the processing and reporting of HR data. You will serve as a resource to the human resources and payroll team handling both routine and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interpreting guidelines, procedures, policies and practice.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Enhancing HRIS team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions and sharing technical and procedural knowledge with peers and teaching improved processes
Entering employee information into HRIS, including new hires, terminations and employee status change information while ensuring data integrity
Maintaining HRIS data integrity while identifying, researching, and analyzing problems, implementing improvements, system tables, codes, security profiles, researching data discrepancies
Maintaining employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
Developing HRIS solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
Develop and prepare reports that reflect human resources activities: new hires, terms, transfers, promotions
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the workforce

Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook)
Must be well organized as they may be working on several initiatives / projects at once
Strong Analytical abilities
Collaborative
Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues / problems including when to escalate the problem to a more senior member
Must be enrolled in a degree program or within 1 year of their post-graduation date
Hours – up to 20 per week
Duration – 3 + months
