Description
This new internship focuses on supporting the East Behavioral Health case managers and the clientele that they serve. The intern will help increase the capacity of staff by providing support and assisting with various activities associated with case management. The intern will work closely with the behavioral health staff. This position is unpaid.
Responsibilities
• Develop a needs assessment for behavioral health regarding the utilization of social work interns
• Create a guide for future interns
• Observe client sessions and ride with case managers with potential of driving clients to appointments
• Attend case managers staff meetings
• Support the staff in the Access Clinic
• Create Client Notes and provide follow up with clients
• Interview clients and identify services needed
Requirements
• Social Work, Counseling, or Therapy Students preferred
• Licensure is not required
• The ability to work with a diverse group of people
