Responsibilities
Job responsibilities to include exposure to some or all of the following:
- marketing and sales promotion
- accounting and finance experience including working with management to understand company financials and how they affect the business
- management - gain experience in managing your own staff, setting schedules, and setting and achieving company goals
inventory management - includes retail, food, and bar inventory
customer service and guest satisfaction - operate a retail store and beer and wine bar including opening/closing of a till, check in/out lodge and rafting guests
office management - manage phones, schedules, training documentation, and IT support
logistical support of rafting and lodging operation including housekeeping, guest shuttles, and cooking
long-range decision making and critical on-the-spot operational decisions
Requirements
Working in the beautiful, remote, natural surroundings of the great Idaho wilderness, a summer on the beautiful Salmon River is an incredible adventure. On the river and at the Little Salmon Lodge, we work hard and play hard; growing into a team whose focus is to provide the highest quality lodging and river adventure experiences for our guests.
