Job Summary

This assignment is project-driven.  The responsibilities of the industrial engineering intern include, but are not limited to: assessing impact of organizational and system changes to determine possible impact on customers and UPS personnel, and determining business and functional design requirements for new systems or modifications of existing systems.

Preferred Skills and Education:

• Must have excellent written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills


• Experience with MS Office Word, Excel, Access


• Experience using Excel is required using formula functions, create forms that update linked worksheet and consolidate worksheets using analysis tools


• Experience with expressions, cross tab queries and calculations including the use of "if" statements


• Some data mining may be required for statistical support of projects


• The prospective candidate is currently working towards a Bachelors degree, preferred Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mathematics degree
