Description

The Square Foot Gardening (SFG)
Foundation is seeking a college student intern to be oversee all
garden installations in the San Diego area. The Foundation installs
Square Foot Gardens at various local sites such as churches, community
gardens, schools, foster homes, transitional shelters, and orphanages.
Some prior gardening experience is required. The candidate will be
trained on how to do on-site inspections prior to garden installation
and will learn to use the Square Foot Gardening method. The intern
will be in charge of installing the gardens, coordinating with local
volunteers and local Square Foot Gardening Certified Instructors,
mixing the Mel's Mix soil, and planting. This is a one year, unpaid
internship, but a stipend can be discussed based on the candidate's
