Territory Associate, Institutional Sales - East CoastBookmark This
Working with a senior institutional sales representative, this person would take direction and partner to build out the territorys sales primarily within the Defined Contribution Investment Only / Sub-Advisory market. The Analyst will work directly with senior institutional representatives to leverage their territory knowledge and increase the scope of their territory coverage. The incumbent will bring investment management/retirement industry expertise of at least four years (at a minimum) with strong communication skills. While this is not a territory sales role, the position is a client facing role, and the Analyst must bring strong interpersonal skills and energy to their assigned sales projects. Additionally, the Analyst will demonstrate full and complete knowledge of Manulife AMs product offerings and investment solutions.Responsibilities :
The candidate will play an active role within Manulife AMs institutional sales team: conducting in-depth market research, territory screening and prospect qualifying.
Identify sales opportunities and create targeted marketing campaigns.
Serves as a specialized resource that our sales force can leverage to deepen relationships with their targeted prospects. Carry out directed sales development functions and territory specific projects.
Works collaboratively with the institutional sales team to help grow sales with large institutional investors, retirement plan advisers, retirement plan platforms, and consultants.
Assists with communicating and properly positioning Manulife AM solutions with institutional investors.Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years in financial service industry in a client facing role or retirement product sales or business development experience
Demonstrate solid understanding of the investment needs, business objectives, and overall issues facing DC plan sponsors and intermediaries including consultants, heavy retirement plan advisers, third party administrators and recordkeeping platforms
Proven ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives
Exceptional team player, with strong collaboration skills
Highly motivated and self-sufficient, with strong time management skills
Effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates, senior business leaders, and a diverse group of individuals outside the organization
CFA or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Designation preferred
