Einstein's Workshop is an amazing science education center and family-friendly maker space in Burlington, MA for kids and adults to discover the creative side of science, technology, engineering, and math both through classes and a large, engaging drop-in space.
We are seeking enthusiastic, creative teachers for a wide range of science and technology classes, including (but hardly limited to):
-Minecraft Architecture and Redstone Engineering
-Stop Motion Animation
-Laser Cutting and 3D Printing
-Math and 3D Geometry
-Programming with Scratch and Arduino
-Invention and Entrepreneurship
Einstein's Workshop is open during after school and weekend hours. Thus this is potentially a great job for college and grad students. Total hours will vary depending on your availability and preferences.
-You've spent 1-3 years managing students (teacher, camp counselor, etc.)
-You have a background in science, math, or technology
-You possess infectious enthusiasm that fosters innovation and creativity
If you've done any of these things, so much the better:
-You've taught science, math, and/or technology
-You've programmed in Scratch or other child-oriented languages
-You've built electronics from scratch, including soldering
-You've worked with a laser cutter and/or 3D printer
-You've designed things using CAD
-You've made novel use of technology (e.g., built a hovercraft out of a vacuum cleaner)
-You've designed curricula in science, technology, and math
