The Boeing Company offers Human Resources (HR) Summer Internships at major facilities, including Seattle/Puget Sound, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia and several other locations. These full-time, paid internships enable you to gain hands-on experience while contributing to exciting programs, helping us meet customer needs and learning from experienced professionals. The Internship Program is designed to engage students in a specific strategic work project, participate in performing HR responsibilities, and to prepare you for a future career as an HR professional at The Boeing Company. All internships provide both the opportunity to participate in responsibilities of the role and a project. Opportunities include:
** HR Generalist (Philadelphia, PA, Oklahoma City, OK, Puget Sound, WA and St. Louis, MO): The major operating groups producing commercial airplanes and defense airplanes and systems will host several Human Resources Generalist (HRG) positions. The internships will combine project work with participation in traditional HRG responsibilities. These internships will provide students with exposure directly to the core business, factory, and support functions. Work may include: Talent Management, Employee Relations, Data Management, Staffing, and general employee communication. Undergraduate and Graduate students considered.
** Employee Relations (Puget Sound, WA): This intern will work as an Employee Relations Specialist at [site] reporting directly to a senior manager. At that site, you will be a member of a team of ER Specialists responsible for union contract negotiations, union contract administration, employee engagement and efforts to keep our non-union organizations union free by strengthening the connection between leadership and employees. You will learn the organization's strategies and processes and get to experience the full scope of the job. ER Specialists have the opportunity to influence leadership and positively impact productivity. They also have considerable interaction with business leaders and other HR disciplines. Examples of typical job duties include handling union grievances, assisting with preparation for negotiations and arbitrations, participating in assessment of non-union work environments, and helping leaders to respond to employee survey results and more effectively engage their employees. Graduate students considered.

Are you currently a student at a College or University and will have completed your Sophomore year by June, 2013?
Are you currently pursuing a Business or Human Resources related degree?
Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED.

Candidates should be college students as follows: - Junior year undergraduates, preferably majoring in Human Resources or Business Administration with focus on Human Resources - or -- First year graduate students, preferably pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with focus on Human Resources. Prefer candidates with strong academic achievement: 3.0 GPA required, 3.25 preferred. Clearly state your cumulative GPA and month / year of graduation on your resume. Assignments begin when your school recesses for the summer of 2013 and last for 12 weeks until returning to school. If selected, you will have input on your specific internship placement.
