DescriptionJob Description: Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
You will work hands-on writing software to drive sophisticated equipment to measure the performance of high-speed serial and parallel electrical interfaces in modern CPUs, chipsets and SOCs. You will perform statistical data analysis to compare performance against both specification and expectations across test cases defined by yourself, design, internal workgroups, industry standards and component specifications. You may work jointly with partners in design, signal integrity, BIOS, platform, high volume manufacturing and wafer fabrication teams to resolve complex issues affecting product health and ensure world-class products for our customers.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
Relevant coursework/experience should be in the following areas:
Writing software in scripting or compiled languages
analyzing digital and analog circuits
hands-on experience using lab equipment to observe and analyze electrical signals.
