City of Dallas, Mayor and City Council Office

Interns will assist with various projects and assignments for the Mayor & City Council of Dallas. Interns will assist in maintaining an efficient office environment in addition to communicating with city employees and guests in a professional manner. Interns will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Intern responsibilities will include: answering phones, business correspondence, special event support, newsletter design and support, design and support for professional ads for special events and other clerical duties as assigned. Internships are open to undergraduate (Juniors and Seniors) and graduate students. Requirements include: attendance at a fully accredited college or university, availability to work weekdays 8:00 am-12:30pm or 12:30pm- 5:00pm during the semester or 30 hours per week during the summer, reliable transportation, willingness to attend required trainings, excellent verbal and written skills, efficiency in basic Microsoft software systems, ability to apply positivity and self motivation to daily tasks.
