Roles and Responsibilities:
Storage QE team is seeking an Intern who will be responsible for creating/prototyping tools or applications to aid the QE teams with their testing efforts. In this role intern will work closely with development teams and other QE teams to coordinate the smooth integration of feature delivery into the product. Intern will work at conceptual and code level to create practical, cost effective solutions for product QE. This requirement is primarily for a candidate with Java automation experience.
Actively involved in Automation framework including core libraries development using Java and Web
Participate in design and code reviews to enhance the automation framework
Assign problems via a bug tracking system and measure progress against timelines, taking action if
Test design, implementation, execution, debugging and automation using Java and Selenium along
with basic Windows and Linux system administration
Analyze automated test results
File bug reports and follow up on the problems until complete resolution
Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems/networking
Experience testing and releasing enterprise level software products
Experience in designing object oriented systems
Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Perl, C++ or C
Broad technical knowledge including:
Operating system fundamentals (task scheduling, memory management)
Familiarity with VMware products
Familiarity with WSDL, SOAP, XML
Basic systems administration (installing and configuring operating systems and hardware)
Software development lifecycle
Good software engineering practices
Basic software design principles
Excellent communication skills required
Scalable systems design experience
