Responsibilities
U. S. Steel's Minnesota Ore Operations includes two open pit mines and processing facilities in Northern MN (Minntac in Mt. Iron and Keetac in Keewatin) and has the following temporary, full-time vacancy for the summer of 2013 that will perform projects at the Keetac location.
INTERN PLANT ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE: Reporting directly to the Area Manager of the Plant, the successful candidate will be assigned to a variety of projects including, but not limited to, updating and revising electrical prints in the plant; building preventative maintenance databases in the work management system; designing electrical schematics for controls; and planning and coordinating various projects in the plant as needed.
Requirements
The position requires the candidate to be currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have completed, or be working towards completion, of their sophomore year and be in good academic standing. The successful candidate will also exhibit excellent communications, planning, and organizational skills and be proficient using Microsoft Office and other web-based applications.
