The Social Media Intern will assist the digital strategy team with a variety of projects that include: digital strategy, social media strategy & execution, competitive analysis across digital platforms and assisting with reporting on Hyatt’s success in the space. The individual will be exposed to a number of workstreams across the team and will be brought into meetings with vendors and agencies to help develop a well-rounded understanding of the digital space.
The intern should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and will finish the internship having gained broad exposure to how companies are leveraging digital to increase a brand’s relevance to consumers.
Conduct an in-depth analysis of competitive activity across key social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, highlighting key performance metrics and competitor’s overall strategic approaches to aforementioned channels. Analysis should include comparisons to Hyatt’s own activities, with recommendations on potential improvements.
Assist with on-going management of Hyatt communities, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest & Google . This includes creation & scheduling content for the platforms, and assisting with escalating consumer relations issues to the CR team.
Assist with on-going ‘brand integrations’ into social, depending on which projects are live when the intern is in place. This will help expose the intern to a degree of project management and cross-team collaboration.
Partner with the digital media & edistribution teams as required, to help round out the interns understanding of the overall digital landscape.

* Preferred major in Marketing, Advertising or Communications
* Junior or Senior in college
* A minimum 3.0 GPA
