General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nations fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of software technologies. Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.
Skills / Knowledge
- Experience in developing applications with MVC frameworks (e.g., Spring MVC, Grails) and MySQL
- Experience wtih RESTful Web Services
- Experience with database-driven Web applications
- Experience testing Web applications: functional tests, unit tests, regression testing, and load testing
- Familiarity with HTML5, JSON, JQuery, CSS
- Familiarity with Web application programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Ruby, PHP)
- Must be comfortable working with software implementations of probabilistic mathematics and inferencing techniques.
Department of Defense Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance is desired but not required. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
