Description
The Athletics Department is seeking interns for the 2012 - 13 academic year in the areas of Athletic Communications; Marketing; Events & Operations; Compliance; and Equipment. These internships are paid $10 per hour. We also have some unpaid internship opportunities in the Ticket Office; Multi-Media; and Cross Country/Track & Field.
You will start in late July or early August 2012; the internships are for 10 months. You will generally work 40 hours per week, including frequent nights and weekends.
Harvard Athletics offers variety - we have 41 varsity programs, the largest number of any Division I school in the country. We also run an Internship Development Program to help you get your career in sports management off to a good start. Boston is a multi-cultural city and the undisputed hub of college and university life. You will also get free use of our athletic facilities, including our Olympic-sized pool; fitness center; and indoor tennis courts.
Requirements
You MUST BE ENROLLED in a degree-granting program with an accredited college or university that requires an internship as part of the degree process. You should have a demonstrated interest in, and passion for, sports management. You should also have strong organizational, interpersonal and computer skills.
