We are a Landscape Design/ Build Company located in Buffalo, NY. Buffalo Lawn and Landscape has been providing the Western NY area with exceptional services for over 30 years. This internship is intended to provide those interested in the Green Industry a chance to learn and grow with a well establish company. We are looking for someone to learn Landscape Design and Sales. This individual would be responsible for meeting with customers and providing them with a landscape design based upon their wants and needs. Sales and customer service skills are play a very large role for this position.
Responsibilities
This is a fast past industry. Especially for a Landscape Designer/ Sales Rep. A typical day would be as follows: Meeting with potential customers, creating a design based upon their wants and needs, composing an estimate for that job and selling it to the customer, provide all needed materials and supplies for crews to complete the work. Once the project has begun you will be responsible to see it through to the end and ensure the client is satified with the finshed product. At the same time, you will be working with other customers to, so it is easy to stay busy. With this high level of productivity, you must be well organized and stay on top of your work.
Requirements
This internship is intended for those who are pursuing careers in the Green Industry. It is not intended for those who have never had any involvement in Landscaping before. The best person for this position would be someone who is currently going to school for Horticlture, Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or any other field that applies. Other candidates would be either those who have graduated already from an accredited school with a degree in any of the mentioned fields or someone who has been involoved in the Green Industry for at least 5 plus years. Candidate must also have great customer service skills and previous sales experience is a huge plus.
