DescriptionThis is a contracted position within the General Counsel (GC) office at DoD Agency.
Under the supervision of the Assistant General Counsel, the Law Clerk provides
a full range of clerk support to GC attorneys, including:
legal research in case law, regulations, policies, and legislation
attorneys to furnish advisory services and legal guidance to DoD staff
point papers and memorandums on various topics
with litigation and administrative matters
other duties as assigned by the Assistant General Counsel
will involve areas of law to include, but not limited to, acquisition,
government ethics, Freedom of Information Act, fiscal law, international law,
privacy law, and intellectual property.
- The Law Clerk must be attending
or a recent graduate (no more than two years) of an accredited U.S. law
school, or in the case of an attorney, be a member in good standing and
admitted to practice in a state bar association.
- The Law Clerk must demonstrate
initiative, sound judgment, efficient legal research, and effective oral
and written communication.
- The Law Clerk will work part-time
or full-time, as mutually agreed on, at DARPA GC, located at 675 N.
Randolph Street, Arlington VA 22203. Travel outside of the D.C.
metro area is not anticipated.
Clearance: Position requires a minimum of an Interim
Secret. Will consider candidates with an eligibility to obtain a clearance.
Requires Bachelorâs degree or equivalent and two to four years of related experience.
