Loyalty Marketing has an opening for a Customer Allocation Analyst to support our exciting customer loyalty program Just for U. You will use your skills in SQL and understanding of household and transaction data to build the kind of targeted offers that reward and delight our customers.

What You’ll Do:
•Build targeted customer-offer datasets to be delivered to customers via our Just for U web and mobile platforms, email programs, and other digital platforms.
•Segment customers along a variety of behavioral and attitudinal factors to improve Safeway’s understanding of customer and shopper behavior.
•Leverage proprietary customer segmentations, shopper insights and customer analysis to develop strategies to increase loyalty and share of wallet.
•Interface with a wide variety of internal and external partners to improve the effectiveness of the Just for U offer set.
•Develop and drive initiatives designed to build loyalty and share of wallet with Safeway customers.

Who You Are:
•A driven, self-starting, collaborative team member who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment. You have strong analytical skills, dive into details, and are exceedingly curious about how things work.
•Comfortable with statistical concepts, A/B testing, and data manipulation on a grand scale.
•Admired for your technical skills that include;
- Fluent in SQL, preferably in a Teradata environment, including working with temporary tables and simple UNIX scripts; SAS/SPSS skills are a plus.
- Proficient in Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel (VBA, etc.).
•Knowledgeable of retail operations and consumer behavior. This would be helpful, but not required.
